How to get acne and pimples away forever at home and how long before retin-a starts to clear up acne

It is highly recommended that people with cystic acne should visit a dermatologist. If the patient is suffering from light to moderate cystic acne then he/she can take antibiotics which have the tendency to kill the bacterium but approximately 30%-45% of today's cystic acne strains are resistant to one or more of the common antibiotics, making them useless. Additionally long-term use of antibiotics is associated with increased cancer risks. Many dermatologists these days give oral drugs such as Accutane and sulfa-based antibiotics for cystic acne. Oral antibiotics such as tetracycline and minocycline are also more effective for cystic acne because they work systemically.
Laser resurfacing, however, may not be effective in removing acne scarring if your scars are deeply pitted. For this kind of acne scarring, punch excision or grafting is recommended. This procedure removes the pits with surgical instruments called a punch. The procedure involves closing the pit and then grafting the top layer of skin together for a much smooth appearance. This procedure is followed by a chemical peel in case there are any red marks that were not corrected by the punch.
The majority of people will suffer nothing more than a few spots on the face, arms, neck, cheat and back - though even a small amount of acne can cause severe psychological problems for the acne sufferer. More serious cases can cause the patient to suffer embarrassment and severe depression which will affect their quality of life greatly.
